Fabsound Fights Autism was founded in 2007 by Susan Bank MD and Fabien Van der Stappen after their then 2 years old son, Benji, was diagnosed with autism. This non-profit organization was developed to raise money to assist in providing therapy for developmentally delayed children. These include traditional therapies such as speech, occupational and developmental therapy as well as applied behavioral analysis, auditory and visual, integration therapies, RDI and nutritional/dietary therapies. It is meant to provide assistance in financing needed treatments for development disorder children that currently are not covered by their insurance companies or provided in school. Thanks to early intervention and an aggressive therapy, dietary and nutritional regimen Benji is on the path to recovery. We wish the same for all development disorder children and hope to assist those less fortunate. Fabsound records fights Autism CD was released in 2007 and consists of 15 songs written and performed by local Chicago musicians of various styles. The music, recording, mastering and cover art were all donated so that 100% of the CD sales profit could be used to assist needy children.
